Welcome Family and Friends
On Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Los Angeles City Fire Station 81, I shaved my head to help raise money for children's cancer research at an event called St. Baldrick's. With the help of family and friends I was able to raise $1100 for this event. In 2010, I participated again but instead of donating my hair, I helped raise $220 through an opportunity giveaway entitling the winners to tickets to Disneyland or Magic Mountain (courtesy of the City Employees Club of Los Angeles).
On March 17, 2012 at Fire Station 89 in North Hollywood, I will return for my 4th year in a row to help raise money for St Baldrick's through my annual opportunity giveaway. For every $1 donated toward sponsoring me you will receive one ticket to enter the giveaway for a chance to win an AMC Movie Pack (2 unrestricted tickets, 2 small drinks and a small popcorn) or a City of Los Angeles Travel Mug. The City Employees Club of Los Angeles has donated two of each prize. Promotion ends March 17th, 2012, so hurry and donate. (Note: I am not shaving my head, only raising money)
Thank you everyone who has participated in the past and I hope you will help out again this year! For more information on how to donate go to my fundraising page .
What is St. Baldrick's?
St. Baldrick's is the world's largest volunteer-driven fundraising event for childhood cancer research. Thousands of volunteers shave their heads in solidarity of children with cancer, while requesting donations of support from friends and family.
How can you help?
You can help me raise money by making a donation either online, by mail, by phone or in person. And with your donation the St. Baldrick’s Foundation can give grants to research organizations and fund local institutions and cooperative research on a national scale to help doctors work together to develop the best treatments for all children with cancer. St. Baldrick’s research grants enable doctors and scientists at over 230 institutions to pursue the most promising new cures for childhood cancer. Grants focus on saving lives and giving survivors the best possible quality of life. Since 2005, the St. Baldrick’s Foundation has funded 13 research fellowships, helping launch brilliant new careers in childhood cancer research.
